This proposed amendment is too much and too fast. It is not clearly written, and the effects of its passage will be harmful to Exeter farmers.
If you are an Exeter farmer, you may have a chance to speak Tuesday night. If you wish to speak, be prepared.
1- Where do you reside? Let the council know you are a resident and taxpayer.
2- What do you farm?
3- What worries you about this proposed amendment? How might it affect your farm and what you produce?
It is not enough to say the amendment should be withdrawn, telling them WHY is the most effective way to truly be heard.
Today this proposal affects Exeter farmers. Next week or next month, it may affect farmers in your town. We are all one in agriculture. We need to support each other, and to be aware of what is going on in other towns. We share this with our RIFB community in the hopes that non-residents can attend to provide support, as well as keep you all up-to-date, so you are not taken by surprise in the future if these issues affect your town.
